The following arrests were reported by local authorities for the period of Aug. 9-11:

A man was arrested by the Harris County Sheriff on a class B misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana (0 to 2 grams), the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported. The 24-year-old male lives in Twin Creek Drive in Katy.

A Houston man is facing a 2nd degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after being arrested on Aug. 9, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The man, 22, resides in Point Park. He was booked on Aug. 10.

A man was arrested on a charge of driving while license is suspended on Aug. 9, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 25-year-old male was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 10 and is facing a class B misdemeanor charge. He resides in Stamen Dr.

A Cypress woman was arrested and charged with burglary of a building on Aug. 9, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The woman, 27, was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 10 and is facing a state felony charge. She resides in Little Creek.

A man was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated 1st offense blood alcohol concentration .08 and no seat belt on a passenger on Aug. 10, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 30-year-old male was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 10 and is facing class B misdemeanor and class C misdemeanor charges. He resides in Cypresspoint.

A man was arrested on a charge of speeding in a school zone on Aug. 10, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 44-year-old male was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 10 and is facing a class C misdemeanor charge. He resides in Grow Ln#36.

A man was arrested on charges of driving without a Texas operator's license and speeding on Aug. 10, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 52-year-old male was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 10 and is facing class C misdemeanor charges. He resides in Timber Creek Pl.

A man was arrested by the Harris County Sheriff on charges of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported. The 31-year-old male lives in Streling in Houston.

A Houston woman was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and capital murder on Aug. 10, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. A man was arrested on charges of failure to produce a driver's license on demand, driving with an invalid license, driving with an invalid license with a prior conviction or suspension without financial responsibility (insurance), theft between $1,500 and $20,000 and driving with expired registration on Aug. 11, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 36-year-old male was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 11 and is facing class C misdemeanor, class B misdemeanor and state felony charges. He resides in Cypress Ridge.

A Houston man is facing a class C misdemeanor charge of public intoxication after being arrested on Aug. 11, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The man, 21, resides in Wovenwood Ln. He was booked on Aug. 11.
