Houston Juniors to sponsor volleyball camps

Houston Juniors will sponsor volleyball camps in September and October for children in grades four through six.

The group will run a camp for children in grades 4 to 6 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on six successive Sundays beginning Sept. 9. A separate camp for seventh and eighth graders will run at the same time. Both camps cost $200 per student.

The camp for fourth through sixth graders teaches and reinforces basic fundamentals and development of volleyball players. Each player at this camp will be placed on a team of 10 to 12 peers and supervised by a coach.

Older children will go into the train and play program, and must sign up for the exact position they wish to play. Players will be divided up by skill level during competitive six-on-six drills.
