Copperfield Coalition to host town meeting Sept. 18
The Copperfield Coalition is hosting a town hall meeting with local business and political leaders from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Copperfield Church.
In a press release, the coalition announced meeting topics would include excessive speeding and running of stop signs, prostitution and human trafficking, drugs, an increase in deputies and ticket revenue. The group is encouraging local residents and business owners to attend.
The meeting will feature several guest speakers, including Texas State Representative Dwayne Bohac and Harris County Special Prosecutions Unit chief Linda Geffin. Constable Ron Hickman will give a presentation on prostitution and human trafficking, according to the release.
Copperfield Church is located at 8350 Highway 6 N., Houston.
The Copperfield Coalition is a not-for-profit volunteer organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Copperfield area, according to its website. It is a member of the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce.
The group holds its regular meetings from 7-9 p.m. on the third Monday of each month at the Copperfield Community Center, 15409 Willow River Drive.
