MGBallers youth basketball program looking for sponsors
MGBallers, a nonprofit youth basketball club, is currently seeking corporate sponsors.
The basketball club focuses on "strengthening fundamental basketball knowledge, skills and play ability, self-esteem, confidence and motivation through sport," according to the club's website, www.mgballers.com.
The basketball club is broken down into two boys' teams (seventh grade and eighth grade) and is a certified member of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).
MGBallers is coached by Dimitric Murph. Murph has experience working with middle and high school teams in the Dallas area. He is a certified TASO basketball official in the Houston area and has officiated games at the high school and middle school levels.
Parents wishing to enroll their children must have a copy of the child's latest report card or progress report, and a copy of their AAU membership card (athlete membership for 2012, club code XTCDY9).
An enrollment fee of $100, which includes uniforms, is due by the third practice unless other arrangements have been made in advance with the coach or team mom, according to the club's website. Monthly payments of $130 are due by the 15th of every month.
MGBallers practice at the Cy-Fair Christian Church, located at 17150 Spring Cypress Road.
