Houston-based Oilfield Instrumentation completes new offshore buildings
Houston-based Oilfield Instrumentation has announced the completion of several offshore buildings for oil and gas exploration companies operating from Mexico. The recent order consisted of four measurement-while-drilling buildings for North Point Drilling Systems LLC, an American oilfield equipment supply company with operations in Mexico, according to a press release. "Increased activity in Mexican offshore drilling is producing great interest in our tried-and-true harsh environment labs," said Ken Romero, vice president of OI's buildings division, in the release. "We are witnessing a spike in inquiries from Mexican company representatives who are impressed with the quality and customization of our buildings after encountering them at other installations." Launched in 1988, OI now operates service centers in 10 cities across Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, North Dakota and California. It also has current operating projects in Australia and Africa. Oilfield Instrumentation is located locally at 11811 Tanner Road in Houston.
