Businesses partner with Cy-Fair ISD to mentor students
Cy-Fair ISD business partners are working to assist students at the start of the school year through mentoring and offering discounts for school supplies.
Employees at Northwest Dodge have volunteered to mentor students at Cypress Creek High School, and the business has also donated $1,200 to purchase of backpacks and schools supplies.
Office Depot at Willowbrook provided students with a 30 percent discount on backpacks, and the business also donated 15 backpacks.
And Luigi's Ristorante and Pizzeria donated 10 free pizzas and provided a discount on 10 additional pizzas to social workers and school staff members who delivered backpacks to students at the Wellington and Idlewilde apartment complex before the start of school.
"We have been blessed with an amazing business community willing to support our campus efforts," Debbie Martin, Cypress Creek academic achievement specialist, said in a press release.
