Houston Cypress Creek travels to Cy-Ranch for football Sept. 13
Houston Cypress Creek will hit the road to take on Cy-Ranch in high school football action Thursday, Sept. 13.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Berry Center, located at 8877 Barker Cypress, in Cypress.
The Cypress Creek Cougars narrowly escaped their first game of the season with a victory over Klein Oak, 24-21. Quarterback Cole Barbe dropped back 40 times, completing 29 passes and three touchdowns. Two of those touchdowns were brought down by wide receiver Bobby Chan, who caught seven passes for 80 yards.
Cy-Ranch is looking to bounce back from a loss in its opening matchup of the season, being out-gained by Katy Cinco Ranch 488 to 165 in a 34-6 blowout. Quarterback Cole Martin completed only eight passes for 71 yards with five interceptions.
Cy-Ranch will play its next game at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 when it visits the Jersey Village Falcons.
Cypress Creek will play its next game at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 when it takes on Houston Cypress Falls at home.
