Gas prices in and around Cy-Fair were lower than the averages for Houston and the country as a whole this week, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.

Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 34 gas stations in and around Cy-Fair as of Friday, Sept. 21. The average price of regular unleaded gas in Cy-Fair is $3.57 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.61, the state average at $3.60 and the nationwide average at $3.83.

The least expensive gas in Cy-Fair is reported to be $3.48 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas, which gasbuddy.com contributors logged at Murphy USA, 26272 N. W. Freeway.

A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area at $3.69, which was being sold at Exxon, 25950 N. W. Freeway; Valero, 23240 N. W. Freeway; and Chevron, 11688 Barker Cypress Road, Near Queenston Blvd.
