12 Cypress runners complete Be The One Run 5K

Twelve athletes from Cypress completed the Be The One Run 5K on Sept. 15 in Sugar Land.

The runners from Cypress were (name, age, time) Taylor Geui, 19, 21:02; Rodney Bradley, 45, 22:00; Reed George, 53, 28:01; Traci Jackson, 39, 32:18; Miriam Garcia, 38, 32:33; Julia Hague, 38, 32:23; Salli Cobb, 36, 33:41; Rebekah Smith, 34, 33:41; Ann Pruitt, 40, 34:18; Kimberlyn George, 16, 35:01; Angie Buck, 38, 38:03; and Dana George, 46, 38:39.

A total of 320 finished the 5K race, which was held at Sugar Land Town Square.

Brian Alvarado, of Houston, was the men's overall winner with a time of 16:42, while Heidi Zimmerman, of Houston, was the winner in the women's category with 19:13.
