Hearts and Kisses--Valentine's Day gifts in Cy-Fair
I am going to launch my Ultimate Cy-Fair blog with a sweetheart of a deal!
With Valentine's Day fast approaching, I thought I would take my first week on the blog job to pass along information about inspirational places to find unique gift ideas for your sweetheart(s). We have many, many great businesses and organizations in our Cy-Fair community that have a lot to offer!
Let's start with Reach Unlimited.
Client artisans make the most beautiful fused glass, and they have for sale lovely Hearts and Kisses"-themed products at the Reach Unlimited Gift Shop, 11832 Mueller Cemetery Road. The shop is full of Valentine's items - heart plates and bowls, jars full of kisses," wall plaques with hearts and red birds, and many others.
Reach Unlimited's Colleen Gilbert said clients fire them in four kilns in the new kiln building at the non-profit organization's Learning Activity Center on Mueller Cemetery.
The Learning Activity Center is the heart of programming for Reach Unlimited clients, who are men and women with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Most of them live in northwest Harris County's Cy-Fair, Tomball, Spring/Klein and Spring Branch communities.
Our client artisans create everything from jewelry to sun catchers to vases to decorative bowls and plates to vases and lamps," Gilbert said. We also make awards and trophies. Everything is made on-site with the guidance of our instructor, Sandra Chavez. We work together to come up with creative ideas."
The Gift Shop is open weekdays from 11 a.m. 3 p.m., and on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. 12 p.m.
