Medical Center donates $50,000 to Komen

North Cypress Medical Center presented the Komen Houston Affiliate with a check for $50,000.00 from proceeds made at their 3rd Annual Project Pink event hosted at the hospital on October 17th.
The sold-out Project Pink event was held in the beautiful lobby of the hospital and consisted of an educational seminar, luncheon, and style show, as well as a fabulous silent and live auction. It was emceed by morning personality, Dana Tyson, from Sunny 99.1.
The educational seminar featured speakers Dr. Kim Keller, Surgeon and Dr. Frank Morello, Interventional Radiologist. Breast cancer survivor Debbie Flunker also spoke and brought the crowd to both tears and cheers. Lunch was provided by Merche Restaurant, the hospital's newest addition.
It was a spectacular event this year and we doubled our proceeds from last year's event. We were thrilled to be able to donate this amount of money to such a great organization that benefits so many women in the area," said Stacy Thornton, event organizer and North Cypress Director of Professional Relations.
The attendees enjoyed a spectacular fashion show featuring local boutiques and stores including B. Ellen, Merle Norman and More, Ta Ta Collection, Dahlia's, Vickie Lynn's, Ann Taylor Outlet, Loft Outlet, and Coldwater Creek Outlet. Hair styling was provided by Industrial Red Salons.
