Four Cypress runners complete Fort Worth Marathon

Four athletes from Cypress completed the Fort Worth Marathon (Half Marathon) Sunday, Nov. 11 in Fort Worth.

The runners from Cypress and their finishing times were Eivind Moen, 30, 1:54:25; Rebecca Spence, 22, 1:56:19; Sarah Spence, 19, 2:01:53; and Kim Dirden, 40, 2:22:17.

Marathon organizers said 306 runners finished the 26.2-mile race, which was held at LaGrave Field.

Daniel Russey of Arlington was the overall winner with a time of 2:45:57. Maria Martinez of Fort Worth won the women's division in 3:15:33.
