Thomas A. Glazier Senior Education Center announces December events
Thomas A. Glazier Senior Education Center will offer various classes for senior citizens in December.
According to a press release, classes will cover topics of health, technology, the law and entertainment.
Dr. Louise Hayes will lead a class on brain repair and memory called Stop Stress Damage from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6.
A class on the basics of using an iPhone will be held from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7. While attendees are encouraged to bring along their iPhone, it is not required in order to take the class.
An informational session about who gets non-titled property not specified in a traditional last will and testament will be held from 2-3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.
The Better Business Bureau will present a discussion on how to prevent online holiday scams from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10.
A Christmas and holiday card-making class will be held from 1-3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10.
A digital camera class will be held from 1-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 and Wednesday, Dec. 19.
An informational session about living wills and advanced directives will be held from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12.
An informational session about wills and probate will be held from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13.
Classic Cinema will present "The Shop Around the Corner," starring Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullivan at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14.
Classic Cinema will present the 1951 version of "A Christmas Carol," starring Alastair Sim at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21. Attendees are encouraged to bring snacks or lunch for intermission.
A class on cooking appetizers for New Year's Eve or the Super Bowl will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Dec. 28.
Classes are free to all Harris County residents 55 or older.
Registration is required for all classes, as seating is limited.
