Houston Family Arts Center to hold auditions for Annie
Auditions for the Houston Family Arts Center's production of Annie are being held by appointment Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8-9 in Houston.
Appointments are available Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 9 from noon-7 p.m.
The play will include 22 male roles and 18 female roles for actors ages 18 to 65. Up to 20 roles will be available for actors ages 8-18. Auditions are open to anyone in the community.
Director Joshua Clark, assistant director Michael Montgomery, choreographer Jessie Brownie and stage manager Amy Cook will conduct the auditions.
Audition performances will consist of a one-minute memorized monologue and 16-32 measures of a musical theater song. A pianist will be available. Actors are also asked to bring a photo and resume.

Auditions will be held at the Houston Family Arts Center, at 10760 Grant Road. Participants may be asked to attend a dance call Sunday, Dec. 9 from 7-8 p.m. for students and 8-9 p.m. for adults.
Once cast, a meeting will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11. Rehearsals will begin Jan. 7 and will take place every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7-10 p.m. and Saturdays from 1-6 p.m. A complete calendar will be available at the auditions.
The show will run at the Berry Center, at 8877 Barker Cypress Road, in Cypress, on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. from March 1-17. Matinees will be held Sundays at 3 p.m.
