Gas prices in and around Cypress were lower than the averages for Houston and the country as a whole last week, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.

Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates at 39 gas stations in and around Cypress as of Saturday, Nov. 17. The average price of regular unleaded gas in Cypress is $3.12 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.13, the state average at $3.14 and the nationwide average at $3.44.

The least expensive gas in Cypress is reported to be $2.99 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which gasbuddy.com contributors logged at Murphy USA, 26272 NW Freeway; Kroger, 13135 Louetta Road; Exxon, 12360 Grant Road; H-E-B, 28570 US-290; and Valero, 13821 Spring Cypress Road.

A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area at $3.29, at Shell, 15038 Mason Road.
