Cy Woods grad Jones plays in McMurry loss
Cy Woods High School graduate Ashton Jones played for McMurry University in a 65-46 loss to Colorado Mines Saturday, Nov. 17 at Wichita Falls, Texas, according to McMurry's website.
The Texas junior recorded five rebounds and two assists for the War Hawks, who are 0-4 on the season.
McMurry's next game is 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 on the road against Indianapolis.
Jones is a 2010 graduate of Cy Woods High School, where she was a selectee for the Greater Houston Area All-Star Game, and two-time second team All-District. The sociology major is from Cypress and is the daughter of Terry and Pamela Jones.
