Cy Woods grad Garcia plays in Southwestern loss
Cy Woods High School graduate Audrey Garcia contributed 10 points, but her Southwestern University (Texas) team lost 84-82 to Mary Hardin-Baylor Tuesday Nov. 20 at Mayborn Campus Center in Belton, according to Southwestern's website.
The freshman guard also recorded four rebounds and two steals for the Pirates, who are 2-1 on the season.
Southwestern's next game is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 at home against Schreiner.
Garcia is a 2012 graduate of Cy Woods High School, where she earned a letter in soccer, two in track and field, two in cross country and three in basketball for the Wildcats. The psychology major is from Cypress and is the daughter of Ruben and Holly Garcia.
