Cy-Fair Educational Foundation to host Cypress Hoops Invitational
The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation will host the 24-team Cypress Hoops Invitational from Thursday to Saturday, Dec. 6-8.
According to a press release, participants will include all Cy-Fair Independent School District high schools and numerous out-of-district boys' high school basketball teams.
Participating high schools will include Aldine Nimitz, Atascocita High, Beaumont Ozen, Brazoswood, Crowley, Katy, Klein, Klein Collins, Klein Forest, Lamar, Morton Ranch, Pearland, South Grand Prairie and Spring.
Tournament games will be played at various locations including the Berry Center, 8877 Barker Cypress Road; Cy-Fair High School, 22602 Hempstead Highway; Cy Falls High School, 9811 Huffmeister Road; and Cy Woods High School, 13550 Woods Spillane Blvd.
Tickets, which can be purchased at the Berry Center, are $3 for an adult single-game, $2 for a student single-game and $8 for a "Family Fun Pack," featuring admission to one game for up to six spectators including at least one adult.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation's "Donate to Educate" program, which provides college scholarships for district students and grants to the district to be used towards teacher training.
