Hilton Garden Inn opens in Northwest America Plaza

Houston is home to a new Hilton Garden Inn.

The full-service, upscale hotel in Northwest America Plaza boasts 172 deluxe guestrooms and 6,500 square feet of conference center meeting and event space at Highway 290 and Beltway 8, according to a news release.

The hotel, the first Hilton Garden Inn in the area, includes guestrooms equipped with "Hilton Garden Inns Garden Sleep System" beds, a 40-inch HD flat-screen television, in-room safe, large work desk, microwave oven and refrigerator.

Its suites offer the same amenities and include a separate bedroom and pull-out sofa bed in the living room.

Each guestroom also is wired with fiber optics for high-speed wireless Internet.

Conference center space at the hotel can be divided into nine meeting and event areas, including the America Plaza Ballroom with theater-seating capacity of 526. An HD videoconferencing room is also available

For relaxation time, the hotel offers guests an outdoor fire pit, pool, whirlpool and fitness center.

The hotel's Garden Grille & Bar is open to the public, presenting a full buffet and cook-to-order breakfast daily, while serving dinner seven days a week and lunch on weekdays.
