Cypress runners complete GE Run Thru the Woods (3-Mile Run)
A total of 18 athletes from Cypress completed the GE Run Thru the Woods (3-Mile Run) on Nov. 22 in The Woodlands.
The runners from Cypress and their finishing times were Kara Sanstrom, 15, 19:05; Austin Thurber, 18, 23:05; Oscar Martinez, 26, 23:23; Clint Thurber, 26, 24:50; Kylee Mann, 18, 24:51; Madison Murray, 12, 25:43; Tara Murray, 43, 29:03; Sean McMillan, 39, 29:09; Jason McMillan, 9, 29:10; Pam Sanstrom, 47, 29:27; Savannah Nichols, 30, 31:37; Sarah Bybee, 13, 32:58; Sebastian Rodriguez, 17, 35:01; Paige Bybee, 10, 36:55; Dana McMillan, 38, 37:25; Linda Bybee, 39, 38:34; Jennifer Bialas, 45, 42:36; and Michael Bialas, 42, 42:44.
According to race organizers, a total of 1,222 runners finished the 3-mile race, which began and ended at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
Ronnie Delzer, of Magnolia, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 15:54, while Kara Sanstrom, of Cypress, was the winner in the women's category finishing with a time of 19:05.
