Cy Woods grad Garcia plays in Southwestern loss

Cy Woods High School graduate Audrey Garcia contributed 12 points but her Southwestern University (Texas) lost 75-71 to Wartburg College Monday, Dec. 17 at Georgetown, according to the team website.

The freshman guard also recorded three rebounds for the Pirates, who are 6-3 on the season. Southwestern's next game is 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 against Blackburn College.

Garcia is a 2012 graduate of Cy Woods High School, where she earned a letter in soccer, two in track and field, two in cross country and three in basketball for the Wildcats. The psychology major is from Cypress and is the daughter of Ruben and Holly Garcia.
