Cy Falls grad Goodwin plays in North Texas loss
Loryn Goodwin, a graduate of Cy Falls High School, is a freshman guard for the University of North Texas women's basketball team.
Cy Falls High School graduate Loryn Goodwin contributed 12 points in the University of North Texas' 59-50 home loss to the University of Texas at Arlington on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at the Super Pit in Denton.
The University of North Texas freshman guard also recorded five rebounds, one assist and four steals for the University of North Texas, which is 2-7 on the season, according to the university's website.
The University of North Texas' next game is at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 on the road against Tulane.
Goodwin is a 2012 graduate of Cy Falls High School, where her team made a run to the 5A State Semifinals. She was named District 17-5A MVP and an All-State selection by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and the Texas Girls Coaches Association. Goodwin is from Houston and is the daughter of Trampas and Laura Goodwin.
