Cy Falls grad Goodwin plays in North Texas loss

Cy Falls High School graduate Loryn Goodwin scored 12 points, but North Texas lost 66-64 to conference rival Middle Tennessee State Thursday, Dec. 27, at Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn., the North Texas website reported.

The next North Texas game is 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 at Western Kentucky.

Goodwin is a freshman guard for the University of North Texas. She is a 2012 graduate of Cy Falls High School, where her team made a run to the 5A State Semifinals. She was named District 17-5A MVP and an All-State selection by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and the Texas Girls Coaches Association. Goodwin is from Houston and is the daughter of Trampas and Laura Goodwin.
