Houston Dacoma driver license office reopens
From a press release:
The Houston Dacoma Driver License Office has reopened for business after a 15-month-long renovation and expansion project.
The office, located at 4545 Dacoma, now has more employees and twice as many service counters to handle the increased number of driver license and identification card applicants in the Houston area. The office also is equipped with the latest driver license technology.
State Senator John Whitmire authored the $1.76 million appropriations rider in the 80th Texas Legislature for the office renovations.
I am pleased to have sponsored the funding for the renovation and expansion of the Dacoma Driver License Office to better serve our citizens and the city's growing population," Whitmire said. I will not stop until each and every DPS office in Houston and across the great State of Texas has the resources and staff to take care of the needs of all Texans."
Note: The Dacoma office no longer issues commercial driver licenses; anyone in Houston who wants to obtain a commercial driver license must go to the Houston Gessner Driver License Office at 12220 South Gessner.
