'Is Fasting Healthy?' lecture scheduled for Jan. 23

Lone Star College-CyFair will host a lecture called "Is Fasting Healthy?" on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.

The event will run from 10-11 a.m. at Lone Star College-CyFair Library, 9191 Barker Cypress Road.

According to a press release from the college, "Fasting has been around for thousands of years in most cultures throughout the world. Zana Kadriu explores this ancient practice to see if it can improve health and longevity."

Tickets are not required and the event is free.
