Cy Falls grad Goodwin contributes to North Texas victory
Cy Falls High School graduate Loryn Goodwin scored 15 points to help North Texas win 87-71 at home over conference rival Troy Wednesday, Jan. 2, at The Super Pit in Denton, the North Texas website reported.
Goodwin also recorded four rebounds, two assists and four steals for the Mean Green, who improved to 3-10 on the season and 2-2 in conference.
North Texas' next game is 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at home against ULM.
Goodwin is a freshman guard for the University of North Texas. She is a 2012 graduate of Cypress Falls High School, where her team made a run to the 5A State Semifinals. She was named District 17-5A MVP and an All-State selection by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and the Texas Girls Coaches Association. Goodwin is from Houston and is the daughter of Trampas and Laura Goodwin.
