Cy-Woods grad Garcia helps in Southwestern win
Cy-Woods High School graduate Audrey Garcia scored 11 points in an 80-49 win by Southwestern University (Texas) over conference rival Colorado College on Friday, Jan. 25 at Colorado Springs, the Southwestern website reported.
Garcia also recordedĀ oneĀ rebound, one assist and a block for the Pirates, who improved to 13-5 on the season and 7-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Southwestern's next game is noon on Sunday, Jan. 27 at University of Dallas.
Garcia is a freshman guard for Southwestern University (Texas). She is a 2012 graduate of Cy Woods High School, wher she earned a letter in soccer, two in track and field, two in cross country and three in basketball for the Wildcats. The psychology major is from Cypress and is the daughter of Ruben and Holly Garcia.
