Cy Ridge grad Colas contributes to Alfred victory

Cy Ridge High School graduate Gerald Colas scored nine points in Alfred University's 80-76 win over conference rival Nazareth College on Friday, Jan. 25 at Kidera Gymnasium in Pittsford, N.Y., the Alfred website reported.

The Alfred University junior center also recorded one rebound and an assist as the Saxons improved to 15-4 on the season and 2-8 in conference.

Alfred's next game is 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1 at home against Houghton.

Colas played at Cy Ridge High School in 2005-2009 where he was a Third-Team All-District selection in 2008-2009. He is the son of Gerald Sr. and Romona Colas.
