Touch a Truck event scheduled for March 2
Touch a Truck, sponsored by Houston Northwest Church, will be held Saturday, March 2 at the church parking lot in Houston.
The event will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
According to a press release from Houston Northwest Church, "Children of all ages will have the chance to enjoy vehicles of all kinds up close and personal. This family-friendly event will provide the young and young-at-heart a unique opportunity to safely explore, climb on, and have their picture taken with a wide variety of vehicles and machinery at work in our community every day, including farm and construction equipment, police cars, a helicopter, and even a hot-air balloon. There's sure to be lots of horn honking, too! Vehicle operators will also be on hand to answer any questions children may have about the important jobs their featured equipment performs and how it benefits the community."
Admission is one nonperishable food item, which will be donated to local food banks. Concessions also will be available for purchase.
Houston Northwest Church is at 19911 State Highway 249, Houston.
