Cy-Ridge grad Colas contributes to Alfred victory

Cy Ridge High School graduate Gerald Colas scored 13 points in Alfred University's 89-67 home win over conference rival Houghton College, on Friday, Feb. 1 at McLane Center in Alfred, N.Y., the team's website reported.

The Alfred freshman center and forward also recorded three rebounds for the Saxons, who improved to 6-14 on the season and 3-8 in the E8.

Alfred's next game is 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Elmira.

Colas played at Cy Ridge in 2005-2009 where he was a Third-Team All-District selection in 2008-2009. He is the son of Gerald Sr. and Romona Colas.
