Cy Falls grad Goodwin contributes to North Texas victory
Cy Falls High School graduate Loryn Goodwin scored seven points in a 64-62 win by the University of North Texas over conference rival Arkansas State University on Sunday, Feb. 3 at Convocation Center in Jonesboro, Ark., the North Texas website reported.
Goodwin also recorded four rebounds and three steals for the Eagls, who improved to 9-13 on the season and 8-5 in conference.
The next North Texas game is at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 at home against Western Kentucky.
Goodwin is a freshman guard for the University of North Texas. She is a 2012 graduate of Cypress Falls High School, where her team made a run to the 5A State Semifinals. She was named District 17-5A MVP and an All-State selection by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and the Texas Girls Coaches Association. Goodwin is from Houston and is the daughter of Trampas and Laura Goodwin.
