Annual Food Tasting scheduled at Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District
Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District has scheduled its annual Food Tasting event for 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28.
According to a Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District release, "Community members are welcome to attend and enjoy a variety of foods made by potential district vendors while providing input on the new products available for school lunch and breakfast. Approximately 30 vendors are expected to participate in the fun-filled event that is free to the public."
The event will take place at Berry Center, 8877 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress.

The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District originally started as a small system of rural one-room schoolhouses in the late 1800s. After several mergers, the current Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District was named as such in the 1960s. The student population for the 2010-2011 school year was more than 106,000, making it the third-largest school district in the state. Its administrative offices are located at 10300 Jones Road, Houston.
