Cypress runner completes Piney Woods 5K Trail Run

Cypress runner Mary Coronado completed the Piney Woods 5K Trail Run on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Houston.

Coronado finished in 33:26.

Race organizers said 63 runners finished the 5K race, which began and ended at Lake Houston Park.

Hawk Harris, of Elgin, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 21:54, while Alexandra Thurman, of Huffman, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 26:55.
