Cy Woods grad Garcia contributes to Southwestern win

Cy Woods High School graduate Audrey Garcia played for Southwestern University (Texas) in a 73-55 win at home over conference rival University of Dallas on Friday, Feb. 15 in Georgetown, the Southwestern website reported.

The freshman guard recorded one assist for the Pirates, who improved to 17-7 on the season and 11-3 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Southwestern's next game is noon Sunday, Feb. 17 at home against Colorado College.

Garcia is a 2012 graduate of Cy Woods High School, where she earned a letter in soccer, two in track and field, two in cross country and three in basketball for the Wildcats. The psychology major is from Cypress and is the daughter of Ruben and Holly Garcia.
