NCTE honors Cy Creek literary magazine

From a Cy-Fair ISD press release:
The Cypress Creek High School literary magazine,
Graffiti, received a Superior rating in the 2009 National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Program to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines (PRESLM).
PRESLM recognizes students, teachers and schools for producing excellent literary magazines. The program's mission is to encourage all schools to
develop literary magazines, seeking excellence in writing and school-wide participation in production.
Graffiti includes art, photography, poetry and prose from freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors and interested teachers. It was compiled by
the Creative Writing class led by student editor Michael Drab (class of 2009) and faculty adviser Leslie Laird.
"I am so proud of the 2009 Graffiti staff and their creation," Laird said. "They showcased the talent of the Cy Creek students beautifully,
and were rewarded for their amazing work."
