The Park and Sunny 99.1 FM present a Valentine's Day event on Sunday, February 14, 2010, featuring live Thoroughbred racing, extraordinary dining from the award-winning Winner's Circle Restaurant, Run with the Roses" Rody Races with a $250 Swarovski crystal necklace grand prize from Designs by Libby, and FREE roses for every female guest in honor of the holiday courtesy of 1-800-FLOWERS Houston.
The Park's Executive Chef Hugo Gomez has whipped up a 5-star menu for Valentine's Day with main course selections: a carving station with marinated pork loin and chanterelle mushroom stuffing; crab stuffed portabella mushrooms with a coriander infused cream sauce drizzled with balsamic reduction; rosemary and thyme chicken breast supreme with a demi glace de poulet; and fresh gulf snapper with lump crab beurre blanc.
Delectable side dishes include: horseradish whipped potatoes; black heirloom rice with applewood smoked bacon; gruyere polenta; grilled asparagus; grilled vegetable medley and parmesan stuffed tomatoes; along with hors d'oeuvres served tableside with selections such as: smoked salmon on toast points with dill cream; peppered tenderloin with pecan pesto on crostini; and prosciutto and gouda with horseradish cream on toast points.
