Langham Creek, Cy Ridge earn crowns

The Langham Creek Lobos won the District 21 wrestling title with 256.5 points. Cy-Fair was second with 223, Cy Woods was third with 222 and Cy Creek was fourth with 181.5.
Langham Creek had five regional qualifiers in Nick Montefusco at 112 pounds, Jacob Ahquin at 125, Edwin Pineda at 145, Trevor Hadley at 180 and Chris Woods at 285.
In the girls' division, Cy Ridge won the District 21 title with 104 points. Langham Creek was second with 101, Cy Creek was third with 98 and Cy Falls was fourth with 59.
Cy Ridge also had five regional qualifiers in Adrienne Do at 95, Jasmine Mathews at 102, Ariana Junkar at 110, Indya Randall at 165 and Jasmine Haywood at 215.
The top two wrestlers in each of the 15 weight divisions advanced to this weekend's regional meet at Allen High School.
The qualifiers at regionals will advance to the Class 5A state meet on Feb. 26-27 in Austin.
