Pageant entry deadline extended to March 1

The Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce announced the debut of the Miss Cy-Fair Houston Pageant", which will take place Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Copperfield Church, 8350 Highway 6 North, Houston, Texas 77095 at 1:00 pm.
The cost to enter is $250. Contestants are encouraged to find a local Cy-Fair area business to sponsor their entry fees.
Eligible contestants are sophomores, juniors and seniors between the ages of 15-19 years old as of March 1, 2010. Contestants will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis and the entry deadline has been extended to March 1, 2010.
Mary Evans, President of the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce, said, The Chamber has been flooded with calls from area girls and we have decided to extend the deadline to March 1st."
I think the $1,000 scholarship has generated a buzz and we want to try to accommodate as many girls as we can."
The pageant will follow similar guidelines established for the Miss Texas Pageant and Miss Teen Texas Pageant, however, there is no previous pageant experience required and there will not be a talent or swimsuit portion of the contest."

Erica Rico with the morning show on 93Q radio station will be judging, Stephanie Guerrero, former Miss Texas, Ms. Pat Stiles, owner of A Plus Actors and Mr. Jeff Shell, Director of The Neil Hamil Modeling Agency have also agreed to judge the pageant."
