Cy-Fair Home and Garden Show at the Berry Center
There is no need to travel out of town, or even downtown, to see the latest and greatest in home dcor, landscaping and gardening techniques, and some local celebrities, this weekend!
This weekend is the Third Annual Cy-Fair Home and Garden Show Sat. Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. 6 p.m. at the Berry Center, 8877 Barker-Cypress Road.
Yes, it is literally in our own backyard!"
There will free parking both days, and over 200 exhibitors who specialize in green products, landscapes/gardening, outdoor living products, interiors, home theaters, remodeling, custom homes, flooring and home organization.
In addition to the sea of vendors, there are six seminars scheduled for Saturday and seven for Sunday. Topics that caught my eye include Trends in Interior Design, Color and Style for 2010," 100 Ways to Kill a Tree," and The Cluttering Kinds." I need help in all three areas.
I would not be doing my blog job if I did not plug our excellent Houston Chronicle columnist, Brenda Beust Smith, the The Lazy Gardener," who will be answering questions and trouble-shooting gardening dilemmas on Saturday from 11am-4pm.
And if you are just itching to spot a celebrity, former Houston Rockets coach and player Rudy Tomjanovich and High-Tech Texan" Michael Garfield will be making appearance among other local stars.
The cost to get it in the door is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors, and children under 12 are free.

For those of you who go, write in on Monday and let me know what you liked best about the show!
