Volleyball: Bobcats face Mustangs Tuesday
Cy Ranch really has two matches that could easily qualify for the ‘Game of the Week’ as the third-place Lady Mustangs host second-place Cy-Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 19, and play on Friday, Oct. 22 at Cy Falls, which is locked in a fourth-place battle with Jersey Village.
But one step at a time, and for Cy Ranch that starts against Cy-Fair, which downed the Lady Mustangs in four games in the first round.

Cy Ranch: The Lady Cougars fell at Cy-Fair 25-23, 25-18, 19-25, 25-20 in the first round with Spurlock racking up 18 kills. The first game was a big key to Cy-Fair’s victory, so Cy Ranch will look to get off to a quick start on Tuesday, Oct. 19 ... The Lady Cougars have another big challenge at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22 at Cy Falls, which started the week a game behind Jersey Village for the final postseason spot ... Cy Ranch hosts Cy Lakes at 6 p.m. on Oct. 26 to close out district and the regular season.
Cy-Fair: The Lady Bobcats will start postseason play for the ninth straight season on Nov. 1 or 2 no matter what happens the rest of the way, but they want to finish strong and carry positive momentum into the playoffs, and that means going for a 17-5A sweep of Cy Ranch ... Cy-Fair hosts Jersey Village at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, in another key match in the 17-5A race, and closes league action at 6 p.m. on Oct. 26 at Cy Springs
