Houston man charged with fatally stabbing girlfriend
A man who claimed he found his girlfriend dead inside his northwest Harris County apartment was charged with murder Tuesday after admitting his role in the slaying, authorities said.
Tredric Culclager, 33, told Harris County sheriff's deputies that he returned home about 11:30 p.m. Monday and discovered the body of Carmella Coleman, 28, inside his home at the Bristol Place Apartments, 11245 West Road, authorities said.
Culclager said the front door was unlocked. Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said.
Homicide detectives questioned Culclager about Coleman's death. He admitted fatally stabbing her, sheriff's officials said.
He was charged with murder and remains in the Harris County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
