LSC-CyFair hosts French cultures festival films

Add a little French culture to your week with the free Franco-African Film Series held each Tuesday this March at Lone Star College-CyFair.
In conjunction with events all over the world in celebration of March's French Cultures Festival (le mois de la Francophonie), LSC-CyFair presents four free documentary films from French-speaking Africa . Where possible, the college's international students will share an introduction to French-speaking African countries prior to the films, which are subtitled in English
The month kicks off with Afrique, je te plumerai" (1992, Cameroon , 88 minutes) March 2. The series continues with Afro@Digital" (2003, Congo/France, 52 minutes) held March 9; Arlit, Deuxime Paris" (2004, Niger/France, 75 minutes) held March 23) and Le Malentendu colonial" (2004, Cameroon , 73 minutes) held March 30.
The films are all shown at 6 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Recital Hall, room 102 at LSC-CyFair, 9191 Barker Cypress Road .
