CFISD home to four more golds

Cy Creek junior Jonathan Edwards and Cy Woods senior Cammile Adams brought home gold medals from the Class 5A state swim meet in Austin.
Edwards won the 100 backstroke with a time of 48.95.
He also swam on the Cougars' 200 freestyle relay team that was fifth, 200 medley relay team that was fourth and 400 freestyle relay team that finished sixth.
The Cougars finished sixth in the state meet.
Adams won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:47.27. She also was fifth in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.66.
Adams and Edwards both were named Swimmers of the Meet at the recent District 15-5A meet.
Ekster, McAleavey win state wrestling titles
Cy-Fair High School junior Jacob Ekster and Cy Creek sophomore Anna McAleavey both brought home gold medals from the UIL state wrestling tournament.
Ekster defeated Clear Lake senior Matt Greene 6-5 to win the 130-pound state title, while McAleavey won the 128-pound girls state title.
Cy Creek senior Courtney Richardson also was second at 215 pounds, Cy Falls' Amber Stokes was fourth at 128 pounds, Langham Creek junior Shanay Colyar was fifth at 110 pounds and Langham Creek senior Edwin Pineda was fifth at 145 pounds.
