Cy-Fair girls, LC boys continue playoff runs

The journey of the Cy-Fair girls basketball team comes to an end this weekend, one way or another, as they compete in the state semifinals. The Langham Creek boys need to win two more to continue their trip to the state competition.
Cy-Fair (34-1) faces off against Cedar Hill (27-6) at 3:30 this afternoon in the Frank Erwin Center in Austin. If Cy-Fair wins, the team will play the winner of the Fort Bend Hightower-Northside Jay game Saturday night at 8:30 p.m.
Langham Creek (24-11) has fought its way into the regional semifinals and plays Lakeview Centennial (30-3) tonight at 6 p.m. at Baylor's Ferrell Center. If Langham Creek wins, it plays again tomorrow night at 7 p.m. against the winner of the Spring-Temple game.
